Grand Blue Fruit Tier List

Use a dated Grand Blue fruit tier list that separates leveling, boss, PvP, and mobility roles without treating rarity as guaranteed power.

This Grand Blue fruit tier list is a provisional role comparison for the Early Access build, not an official balance table. The official experience confirms fruits and saved fruit skill levels but does not publish damage, cooldown, rarity, or PvP data. Current community sources describe ten fruits and broad kits; exact rankings must change when the live skill tree or balance changes.

Provisional role tiers

Band
Currently documented fits
Why to test
S potential
Darkness for control; Flame for broad ranged pressure.
Community kit descriptions suggest several useful jobs, but exact safety and damage need live testing.
A potential
Bomb for groups; Drain for sustain; Wolf for mobile melee pressure.
Their value changes sharply between quest packs, bosses, and PvP.
B potential
Spike or Cannon for range; Strength or Chop for melee support.
Compatibility with style, stats, and unlocked moves matters more than the name.
Situational
Spin for movement or a temporary early kit.
A low community rank can still solve travel or fill an empty skill bar.

“Potential” is deliberate. These bands synthesize broad community role descriptions, not measured damage. A fruit can move up for your account if it has the unlocked skill, stat support, and fighting style needed for the activity.

Leveling tier criteria

For leveling, value repeatable group coverage, quick recovery, manageable Energy use, and range that keeps enemies together. A fruit that clears one impressive group but empties the resource bar may lose to a modest kit over the full accept-clear-return loop.

Darkness, Flame, and Bomb are commonly described as control or area options, giving them strong leveling potential. Spike and Cannon may help tag or pressure from range. Drain can reduce recovery downtime when its sustain works on the relevant targets. Confirm each action in the current skill tree.

Test one complete quest with fruit skills and one using the fighting style alone. Compare total time and how much Health or Energy remains. Do not rank from a single critical hit or a fully upgraded showcase.

Boss tier criteria

Boss value comes from reliable single-target uptime, safety during animations, sustain that works in the encounter, and a tool for phase changes. Large area damage may be less important than a short punish you can land repeatedly.

Drain’s reported sustain can be helpful for learning, while Darkness control may or may not affect a boss. Wolf, Strength, or Chop could perform well when a melee player already has safe style mastery. Flame, Bomb, Spike, and Cannon need a clear test of recovery and resource use against moving phases.

Run the same boss phase three times. Count safe hits, missed animations, resource exhaustion, and deaths caused by commitment. A fruit moves up the boss list when it improves consistency, not only peak damage.

PvP tier criteria

PvP rewards confirms, fast pressure, movement, escape, and recovery after a miss. An opponent will not stand inside the same area as a quest NPC. Do not reuse a PvE tier without testing whether the opening can be dodged or blocked.

Darkness is reported as control-oriented, Wolf as mobile melee, Spike and Cannon as ranged, and Spin as movement-focused. Those roles can matter in PvP even when community PvE rankings differ. Exact stun, armor, invulnerability, and combo behavior are not confirmed here.

Spar with a willing player. Start without the longest cooldown, test one opener, and verify whether a normal attack can confirm the fruit move. Preserve a dash for the miss. Record the server build because small timing changes can reorder a PvP list quickly.

Mobility and exploration tier

Movement value rarely appears in damage rankings. A kit that crosses an island or escapes water safely can shorten every quest and fruit-search loop. Spin and Wolf are currently described with movement roles; other fruits may include travel actions in the live tree.

Measure a route from quest giver to target or dock. Check whether the move consumes Energy needed for combat and whether it works over slopes, water, or obstacles. A travel action is useful only if it can be used consistently without creating a longer recovery.

Why rarity is not the tier list

Rarity describes availability, not your unlocked moves, stats, control comfort, or current goal. Public rarity weights are also unverified here. A rare fruit with long animations can be worse for a beginner than a common ranged tool; a melee-support fruit can be excellent on a style-focused account and poor on a pure caster.

Do not buy chests because a rarity percentage appears to guarantee a result. The official description does not publish chest odds or a pity rule. Compare the fruit already in your inventory before spending for an unknown replacement.

Score your own fruit

Give one point for a dependable normal-combat action, safe group coverage, boss uptime, mobility or escape, and sustainable resource use. Add a sixth point if the fruit clearly complements your fighting style. Test each point in the current server.

Five or six points means keep and build around it. Three or four means it is useful while you progress. One or two means verify locked skills and stat support before replacing it. This method survives balance changes better than copying a static letter.

Leveling test

Time a complete repeatable quest and record remaining Health and Energy.

Boss test

Reach the same phase three times and count safe punishes rather than damage screenshots.

PvP test

Check confirm, escape, and recovery against a moving player who can defend.

Travel test

Measure a familiar island route and include resource recovery.

When to switch

Switch when the current fruit fails the activity after available skills, supporting stats, and a complementary style have been tested. Before consuming another fruit, read the live replacement prompt and record mastery. The official description says skill levels are saved for each fruit, but storage and swap costs still need confirmation.

If a fruit is merely lower in this provisional list, keep progressing. A known kit plus saved resources is often stronger than an unknown roll. Use Cursed Fruits for roles and How to Get Cursed Fruits for safer acquisition.

Quick answers

What is the best Grand Blue fruit?

Darkness and Flame have the strongest broad potential in current community descriptions, but no universal winner is in-game verified. Your activity and unlocked kit decide the result.

Is Spin useless?

No. It is reported as movement-oriented and can fill an empty early kit. Test travel and resource use before replacing it.

Does rarity equal power?

No. Rarity, if accurately documented, describes availability. The tier decision also needs safety, range, resource cost, move unlocks, and build compatibility.

When was this list checked?

September 2, 2026. It is a provisional Early Access snapshot based on community-described roles and requires live balance testing.

Confidence: fruit names and broad roles are community reported or corroborated; the tier placement is a cautious editorial comparison, not official or in-game verified. Exact rates, damage, cooldowns, and PvP mechanics remain unverified.
